Sarah-Jane Rennie

Sarah-Jane holds a Bachelor of Music Performance in Voice from The Victorian College of the Arts and a Diploma in Performing Arts (Opera) from the School of Music (Auckland University). She was a 2002 Dame Malvina Major Emerging Artist and a Freemasons’s Resident Artist for NZ Opera 2014-2020.

  • Elettra - ‘Idomeneo’ (Auckland Opera Studio) 2004.
  • Lakme-Lakme (Garden Opera) 2005.
  • La Madre-Madama Butterfly( NZ Opera) 2015.
  • Belinda- Dido and Aeneas(Opera Club) 2020.
  • Suor Angelica-Suor Angelica (Toi Toi Opera) 2021.
  • Rosalinda - Die Fledermaus (abridged) Toi Toi Opera 2024.
  • Cover work for NZ Opera includes Leila-The Pearl Fishers 2002, Donna Anna- Don Giovanni 2014, Violetta- La Traviata 2014 and Micaela- Carmen 2017.

  • Soloist with CBS for Mozart Piccolini Mass 2018 Coronation Mass 2019/21, Missa Brevis 2019, Credo Mass 2018/2019, Haydn Theresienmesse 2018, 2024, Creation Mass, 2019/2022 Paukenmesse 2021 and Schubert Mass in G 2021 and Mass in C 2018.Weber Mass in G 2022.
  • Soloist for Messiah with Mid Canterbury Choir 2021.
  • Solo Concert - Passiontide with Martin Setchell St Marys Cathedral 2021.

‘Touring work for Sir Andrew Lloyd Webbers’ the Really Useful Group as Carlotta Alternate for the Phantom of the Opera Australasian tour 2008-09 and the World tour 2013-16. Auckland, Perth, Adelaide, Taiwan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Daegu, Guangzhou, Istanbul, Beijing. NZ Opera Schools Tour (Le Nozze Di Figaro) 2002, North Island tours for Class Act Opera.
