Kimberley Wood

Kimberley is a PhD student in Marketing at the University of Canterbury. In 2020, she received a master’s degree in commerce (MCOM), and a Bachelor of Music degree in 2018. After receiving her LTCL in singing, she became a member of the New Zealand Secondary Students’ Choir (2013-2014) and New Zealand Youth Choir (2017-2019), touring to Singapore, Malaysia, and the Pacific Islands.

Kimberley has a keen interest in music theatre and enjoys musically directing and playing for shows when not studying. Brief highlights include musically directing That Bloody Woman (Showbiz Christchurch 2023), Mamma Mia! (Showbiz, 2024) and playing for numerous shows around Christchurch.

This year, Kimberley is working at NASDA (National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts) as a musicianship and singing tutor as well as directing the Christchurch Cathedral Girl Choristers. She is one of the conductors of the Northwest Music Festival, and the Christchurch Schools Music Festival. She also teaches piano, singing, and theory at multiple schools whilst accompanying singers and instrumentalists alike for exams.
